MAKERING PROGRAMS
Every day at Alameda Makering is unique, yet kids can consistently expect innovative activities, creative expression, and fun! Classes and camp days are filled with ambitious, age-appropriate, and fun maker projects, which could include crafts, art, gardening, cooking, design, science, music, life skills, sewing, carpentry, or a combination of these. Each project incorporates the safe use of various tools, integrates upcycled materials through a range of creative techniques, and promotes the development of life skills. Projects are demonstrated using best practices, while individual creativity is celebrated. All necessary supplies and materials are included.
AFTER-SCHOOL CLASSES
Sign up now! Join us for an afternoon of makering 1x per week! Our classes start after-school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and run for 2-hours. We offer FREE after-school pick-up from Otis Elementary School — Deneese will meet students on campus in her Alameda Makering apron and walk them to her home, or you’re welcome to drop off your child. Each class wraps up with a moment to celebrate creativity, perseverance, and new discoveries, helping kids feel proud of what they’ve learned and created.
WEEKEND POP-UP CLASSES
Sign up now! Our weekend pop-up classes are the perfect way to try makering! Each 2-hour class flows between our Maker’s Table, Maker’s Kitchen, and Maker’s Garden. Young makers engage in hands-on activities, learning new skills and exploring their creativity through a variety of fun projects that they take home. Every class is unique — come to one, or come to them all!
SCHOOL BREAK CAMPS
Sign up now! Join us for exciting makering activities and fun during a “break” that coincides with a single-day or week-long school closure. Our day kicks off with a morning maker project, followed by a brief mid-morning break to relax or jump on the trampoline, and then a cooking project. At lunchtime, we venture to one of the nearby parks for a picnic and some physical activity! The afternoon session may continue with the morning project or introduce a new one. We wrap up by reflecting on the day, and celebrating everyone’s creations.
SUMMER CAMPS 2026
Sign up now! Join us for a week of exciting makering activities and fun during SUMMER! We have multiple weeks available with a variety of themes and activities. Our day kicks off with a morning maker project, followed by a brief mid-morning break to relax or jump on the trampoline, and then a cooking project. At lunchtime, we venture to one of the nearby parks for a picnic and some physical activity! The afternoon session may continue with the morning project or introduce a new one. We close each day by reflecting on our projects and progress, inspiring curiosity for what’s next.
