WEEKEND POP-UP CLASSES

Our weekend pop-up classes are the perfect way to try makering! Join us for a 2-hour session on a Saturday morning or afternoon and dive into hands-on projects in our Makerspaces. Each weekend class includes an ambitious, age-appropriate, and fun maker project, which could include crafts, art, gardening, cooking, design, science, music, life skills, sewing, carpentry, or a combination of these.

Each project incorporates the safe use of various tools, integrates upcycled materials through a range of creative techniques, and promotes the development of life skills. Each project is demonstrated using best practices, while individual creativity is celebrated. We close each class by cleaning up the Makerspaces and reflecting on the day.

The details:

Weekend pop-up classes are held on select Saturdays with a morning and afternoon session:
- Saturdays 10:00am - 12:00pm
- Saturdays 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Weekend pop-up classes run for 2 hours and are open to young makers ages 6-14.
Weekend pop-up classes are small format (6 makers max).
All projects are designed to be completed within the same class session.
All necessary supplies and materials are included.
Cooking projects will often be part of classes. Be sure to advise of any food allergies or dietary restrictions so accommodation can be made.
Please bring a snack and beverage each day; and have a sweatshirt or jacket for outdoor activities.

Enrollment, Refunds, and Cancellation Policy:

Enrollment covers the specified weekend pop-up class day and time.
We do not provide refunds for missed classes. As a small business with specialized services, we appreciate your understanding and support. See our full policy on our FAQs page.
To initiate cancellation of your weekend class enrollment, please email deneese@alamedamakering.com at least 14 days before the intended cancellation date. A 5% cancellation fee will be applied and deducted (to cover the processing costs).
